Welcome to Spectrum Health / Emergency Care Specialists Ultrasound Fellowship website!
Our fellowship is based out of Spectrum Health-Butterworth and Helen DeVos Children's hospitals, that have a combined annual volume of 160,000 emergency visits per year.
Grand Rapids is the home of Michigan State University- College of Human Medicine. It is Michigan's second largest city with more than 65,000 undergraduate and graduate students, a thriving economy, and rapidly expanding population. Our city was recently recognized as the #1 U.S. City to raise a family (Forbes Magazine 2012) and the #1 U.S. City to Visit (Lonely Planet 2014).
For outdoor enthusiasts, the gorgeous, sandy beaches of Lake Michigan is just 45 minutes away. There are an abundance recreational, dining, and entertainment opportunities for a mid-sized city. The city's airport is very convenient and has direct flights or easy connections through Chicago and Detroit, which are both just a three-hour drive away.
