Welcome
Welcome to the UAB Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship. Thank you for your interest and we hope you will appreciate the opportunities at UAB as we do.
Please feel free to contact us at 2013 SAEM! We look forward to meeting you.
The Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship is dedicated to providing extensive experience in clinical ultrasound skills as well as education, program administration, and research.
UAB University Hospital is the regional referral center for head and spinal cord trauma, burns, stroke, cardiac, neonatal, and psychiatric disorders, serving a combined volume of more than 120,000 patient visits per year with a wide variety of medical and surgical illness. There are over 40 medical/surgical beds and a large, ultramodern trauma/burn/medical resuscitation unit
The Department of Emergency Medicine is centered around a 3 year academic EM residency with 10 residents per year, as well as research and critical care fellowships.
The Children’s Hospital of Alabama houses a busy modern Emergency Department, trauma referral center, and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship with an active ultrasound program.
Clinical ultrasound is an expanding field at UAB and we are looking for motivated candidates to participate in this project.
