Tucson Marriott University Park: $$

880 East 2nd Street

This hotel is close as well, but we would recommend taking a quick 5-minute Uber/Lyft. It is located on University Blvd, which is the main drag for the University of Arizona undergraduates.
You are just steps away from a number of bars/restaurants and shopping.

Arizona Inn: $$

2200 E Elm St
Tucson, AZ 85719
A historic boutique hotel centrally located in mid-town Tucson. About a 10-minute walk to the conference venue. There is an excellent restaurant on the premises. Décor is all Southwestern inspired with casita style rooms.

The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa: $$

3800 East Sunrise Drive
Tucson, Arizona 85718
The Westin is located in the northern part of the city, requiring a car ride to the conference. There are a number family-friendly amenities and several pools. Overall a good value. At night, there is a great view of the night lights of Tucson. We also recommend the restaurant on-site, Contigo Latin Kitchen.

JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa: $$$

3800 West Starr Pass Boulevard
Tucson, Arizona 85745
This resort is approximately 25 minutes away, by the western Tucson Mountains, so you will definitely need to Uber/Lyft or drive a car to the conference. It is a very family friendly resort, with pools, lazy river, a spa, and golfing. Also close to a number of trailheads. If you are bringing your partner/family, this would be a great place for them to relax and explore while you’re at SCUF! Con: Distance from venue Pros: A beautiful resort, gives you a true Arizona desert experience.

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort: $$$

7000 N Resort Drive
Tucson, AZ 85750
This resort is approximately a 20-25 minute drive to the conference venue, but well-worth the short drive. Its nestled in the Catalina Mountain range and has spectacular views. This is also a very family friendly resort with a number of amenities. Highly recommended if you plan on spending some extra time in Tucson.

Planning on using Airbnb or VRBO?

As we know many people are planning on using these rental services we wanted to provide our recommendations on the best neighborhoods to stay for SCUF. Please refer to the map below. We recommended staying away from the areas marked in red. In general, the north part of town is safest. Highlighted in green are some recommendations of neighborhoods to stay in. We tried to keep in mind: proximity to the venue, proximity to good bars/restaurants and overall safety. There are great spots all over town, so if you have any questions feel free to ask!
