Welcome to the North Shore University-Long Island Jewish Hospital (NSUH-LIJ) Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Page.

The NSUH-LIJ Fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound is a one-year program designed to develop expertise in all emergency ultrasound clinical applications, research, administration and education.

Our Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship started in 2001 and has trained over 45 fellows. The Ultrasound Division is currently comprised of 15 fellowship-trained physicians, 4 of whom are physicians at Lenox Hill Hospital.

The goal of our program is to produce experts and leaders in the field of emergency medicine ultrasound who can ultimately develop and maintain an ultrasound division, either within a department of Emergency Medicine or hospital wide, as well as operate a successful fellowship training program.
