Stanford Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center and tertiary care center, and we are excited to announce that the new state-of-the-art Stanford Hospital opened its doors for patient care in November of 2019. With triple coverage overnight and multiple Emergency Physicians on staff during the days and evenings, it welcomes a collegial environment while teaching residents and medical students in caring for critically ill and emergency patients. Our leadership is incredibly supportive of point-of-care ultrasound utilization and promotes its use. Our annual diverse patient volume is currently over 100,000.
