Number of Clinical Hours:

The fellowship is designed as a part-time attending position within the UPMC ED, working approximately 16 hours per week.

Other Duties

The fellow is expected to devote approximately 20 hours a week to ultrasound outside of his/her clinical schedule. This time is spent performing image acquisition, completing image review/QI/QA, leading/participating in journal club, lecturing, faculty/resident/medical student education, completing research, performing course development, and attending administrative meetings.

Educational Experience

Fellowship teaching is led by the ultrasound faculty with adjunct opportunities available with several other departments, including critical care, anesthesia, cardiology, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology.
