Fellowship Program

Length of Fellowship:

One year


$92,500 + incentive compensation plan

Additional Funds

CME- 10 days ($4000)
Vacation- Four weeks
Malpractice insurance with tail (3 million/3 million) provided
Healthcare (with dental/optical) provided
Retirement- enrollment in State retirement plan (OPERS)

Number of Clinical Hours:

20 hours per week

Other Duties

20 hours per week:
--5 scanning shifts per month with core faculty
--Administrative projects (PACS, CQI, etc)
--Research project
--Resident teaching (Fellows also involved in teaching ultrasound to trauma residents/fellows and critical care fellows)
--medical student teaching (The Division has an active 4th year elective for medical students. The Division is also involved in using ultrasound to teach clinical anatomy to 1st and 2nd year medical students.)

Additional Opportunities

Fellow have the opportunity to teach basic and advanced ultrasound courses through Ohio ACEP

Educational Experience

Fellowship education is provided by the Division of Emergency Ultrasound. The Division has good relationships with other departments and is involved in ultrasound education for trauma surgery and critical care. Fellows also have the opportunity to spend time in the echo lab with cardiology.
