Is there a dedicated US month?

Ultrasound is part of orientation for incoming interns, and all interns take a 16 hour Emergency Ultrasound course conforming to ACEP guidelines. Interns also do a two week rotation dedicated to emergency ultrasound, including didactics, scanning, and video review.

Is there an US elective?

Yes - frequently taken by PGY2-4 residents in addition to the required rotation during internship
