Numerous opportunities exist for fellows to teach outside the institution including but not limited to: structured longitudinal POCUS curriculum for George Washington University and Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences medical students, POCUS courses for Department of State and other governmental entities.
Participation in structured longitudinal POCUS curriculum for pediatric emergency medicine fellows.
Procedural teaching to pediatric residents in their resuscitation curriculum.
CNMC faculty are involved with teaching at national and international courses and include the ultrasound fellows whenever possible. Locally, courses are conducted annually at CNMC for faculty members, and annually at GWU for incoming ED residents (2 days).
Research projects are ongoing at CNMC and ultrasound fellows are welcome to participate.
