EM residents have a total of 4 weeks of dedicated ED US.
Two 2-week blocks as a 1st and 2nd year resident.
Also an elective option in final year of residency.

We are a new 3-year EM residency program. Our first class will graduate in 2022.
Number of hours Hands-on (i.e. scan shifts)
6-8hours scan shift 4times a week for 2 weeks as PGY1 and another 2 weeks as PGY2
optional 2 or 4 week ultrasound elective in PGY3 year
Number of hours Image Review
Weekly tape reviews all scans performed in the department. 6-8 hours weekly.
Number of hours didactics
10 hours intern introductory course;
1-2 hours/month for all residents.
4-6 hours of US for residents on ultrasound track
