Fellowship Director Requirements

1) If not fellowship trained, does the EUS fellowship director have at least 3 years of experience using EUS in clinical practice after residency?

Yes - All 8 ultrasound faculty are fellowship trained. The EUS division chief, fellowship director, assistant director, and associate division director each have AEMUS FPD certification.

2) If fellowship trained, did the EUS fellowship director complete fellowship more than 1 year ago?

Yes - Fellowship director completed the AEMUS Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital from 2017-18. Assistant fellowship director completed the AEMUS Fellowship at Temple University Hospital from 2020-2021. IM PD completed the IM POCUS Fellowship at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from 2021-22.

3) Has the EUS fellowship director published at least three peer reviewed emergency ultrasound articles in Medline indexed journals?

Yes

4) Are at least two of the above mentioned publications original ultrasound research with the EUS fellowship director as first author on one of them?

Yes

5) Does the fellowship director have a record of excellence in teaching? (This ability can be demonstrated by teaching awards, consistently favorable evaluations by residents and/or fellows, or the like.)

Yes

6) Is the EUS fellowship director involved in advancing emergency ultrasound by active participation or leadership in one of the previously mentioned nationally recognized organizations?

Yes - Director - Past President, EUS-AAEM; Past BOD Member, SCUF\\r\\n\\r\\nAssistant Director - current AAEM-EUS Councilor\\r\\n\\r\\nDivision Chief - past SCUF BOD; past AEM Decision editor\\r\\n\\r\\nAssociate Division Director - Current SCUF BOD; Founder & Past President, EUS-AAEM; Past Secretary & Vice Chair, AIUM US in Med ED community; Past Secretary, ACEP EUS
