6 Sonosite Edge Machines for general departmental use
Expansion of our US fleet is underway with new GE Venue machines to be added later this year
Ultrasound Probes
We have adequate numbers of phased array, linear, curvi-linear, and intra-cavitary probes for each machine
Image Recorder
Qpath is our ultrasound management software and is used for image archival, quality assurance, and education
Educational Resources
A robust CME fund allows fellow travel and attendance at several national and international conferences throughout the year. Fellows have full use of Virginia Tech Carilion Medical School and Carilion Clinic health sciences libraries. The newly opened, state of the art ,Carilion Clinic Simulation Center is available for fellow education, teaching, and research. The VTC medical school cadaver lab can be made available for procedural workshops, teaching, and research. US fellows collaborate with wilderness medicine and EMS fellows and have opportunities for use of resources available specifically for those fellowships.
