Approximately 7-8 clinical shifts a month
Other Duties
The fellow will be an active part in training PEM fellows and residents rotating in the ED. They will also have the opportunity to give didactic lectures and hands-on teaching for point-of-care ultrasound within the University as well as beyond.
Number of Sites
Main site will be UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital -Mission Bay
Other sites for our fellow will be UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital- Oakland, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and UCSF Medical Center

Additional Opportunities
Fellows will have the opportunity to rotate on off-service rotations
Educational Experience
2-3 scanning shifts per week in the Pediatric Emergency Department and general Emergency Department. There will also be opportunities to scan with US techs in the pediatric ED. There is also a cardiology echo rotation and opportunities for other off service rotations.
Weekly Pediatric ultrasound meetings with: Ultrasound didactics, Journal club, Scan/QA review, Research Meeting.
The fellow will also have the opportunity to attend general EM quality assurance and image review conferences.
Image Review
Weekly PEM US QA as well as the opportunity to attend general EM QA.
