Type of Program

Grand Strand Medical Center is the home to an ACGME-accredited EM Residency Program, with 12 residents per academic year. This is a very high acuity, community-academic hybrid program in the second busiest travel destination in the United States.

Other Information

Leave a lasting impact on a residency training program, ultrasound is heavily incorporated into the longitudinal curriculum. Most graduates of this residency leave with > 400-500 POCUS scans, some >800 in a three year training program.

Ultrasound Fellows have organized Escape Rooms, SonoGames and monthly simulations for residency didactics.
