Other Information
We have various ultrasound projects rolling at each site ranging from MedEd to Admin. Great opportunity to have projects that are across various sites.
Our proposal to integrate ultrasound into all four years of medical student education was approved by the UCLA SOM in June 2014. We have been teaching 1st, 2nd and 4th year medical students. We are currently developing a peer education ultrasound academy at the Geffen School of Medicine.
In addition, we have excellent relationships between internal medicine, critical care, cardiology, and surgery. We have several internal medicine residents that take our elective; we host a monthly critical care ultrasound session; and we lead ultrasound training sessions for the surgery residency program.
