Varies per resident. Each resident is encouraged to scan as much as possible. Ranges from 100-200 in a 4-week block. Residents graduate with an average 800 scans over their 4 years of residency.

Other Information
In their rotations, residents receive a weekly total of about 24 hours of scanning, image review, and didactics directly supervised by ultrasound directors and fellows. The remainder of the time is spent scanning indepedently.
