Ultrasound Fellowship Education

Our mission is to provide a strong foundation in basic and cutting-edge point-of-care emergency ultrasound. The breadth of pathology in our department provides a comprehensive hands-on scanning experience that is complimented by teaching and mentorship from active faculty. Fellows are trained in a broad range of emergency applications of point-of-care ultrasound and have the opportunity to teach a variety of learners. Over the course of training, our fellows are expected to complete 1000 scans and obtain credentialing in core and advanced applications. Fellows work on a scholarly product with mentorship and guidance from our academically productive faculty.

We aim to train Pediatric Emergency Ultrasound leaders who will become strong scholars and future researchers in the field of pediatric emergency ultrasound capable of running their own ultrasound programs.
