Additional Opportunities
Assist with teaching at local conferences offered by HealthPartners including collaboration with Hospital Medicine physicians who are recognized ultrasound experts through the Society of Hospital Medicine. Recently, we have developed a pre-hospital ultrasound course for local paramedics.
Educational Experience
Most education occurs in the emergency department though some time will be spent in the cardiology echo lab and radiology ultrasound suite. This is part of a collaborative effort and we have full support from cardiology and radiology.
Image Review
We perform regular QA review of 20% of all emergency department ultrasounds. Review is performed through our PACS system.
