Educational Experience

Ultrasound education is delivered in the Dept of Emergency Medicine by faculty with years of ultrasound experience. Video tape review is held on a weekly basis where all EM ultrasound examinations are reviewed. Fellows are also exposed to multiple additional courses and training opportunities. The Ultrasound Division hosts its own grand rounds program inviting ultrasound experts from various specialties from around the country.

Image Review

All ultrasound exams performed in the emergency department are recorded (video) and reviewed on a weekly basis as part of the fellowship education and emergency ultrasound QA process. We review approximately 7000 scans per year. All exams are stored in Qpath and official examinations/reports stored in hospital PACS.
