Welcome to the Henry Ford Health System Department of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship website. We are located in the New Center area near downtown Detroit. The mission of the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship is to develop and train emergency physicians with a desire to further their knowledge and skills in the numerous applications of emergency ultrasound. The fellow will have the opportunity to participate in critical care, musculoskeletal, medical education, remote guidance with mobile integrated health, and ultrasound innovation lab projects There are excellent teaching opportunities, including participating in established courses for physician assistants, nurses, residents, senior staff, and medical students. The fellow will also have the unique experience of enhancing their teaching skills through lectures at the Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSUSOM), where a longitudinal curriculum has been developed for ultrasound education, including the incorporation of ultrasound into the physical diagnosis and pathophysiology courses.
