Ultrasound Probes

All machines: 1) Low frequency phased array 2) low frequency curvilinear 3) high frequency vascular 4) endocavitary
Additional: Hockey-stick probes on designated machines.

Image Recorder

Video and still images saved to the machines are automatically archived and available through our internal Q-PATHe database at both Bellevue and NYU.

Educational Resources

-The opportunity to pursue advanced clinical ultrasound training from POCUS experts outside of the EM department, such as MSK (Sports Medicine), Advanced Echo (Cardiology), Regional Anesthesia (Anesthesia).
-A recently built state-of-the-art 25,000 sq ft Simulation Center with GE Venue Go and Sonosite M-Turbo ultrasound machines, echo simulator, pelvic trainers with both normal anatomy and pathology for training in transvaginal ultrasound, and multiple tissue phantoms.
-Access to the VA Hospital Simulation Center, which offers advanced echo simulator, FAST simulator, and TEE simulator.
-Access to EM department's experienced and robust Research Division to guide development of the fellowship project
-Fully searchable image database
-CME funding for textbooks, digital resources, participation at national conferences
-Access to medical education experts and resources at NYU School of Medicine and within the EM department, many of whom are graduates of the Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) Program at Maastricht University.
-Access to medical librarian scientists at NYU School of Medicine who can assist with systematic reviews and research
